Role at Wired Impact

María is a Project Manager at Wired Impact. She works alongside nonprofits, planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time. She likes to look into the fantastic work that clients are doing for their respective communities and see the difference they make.

Why She Loves This Work

María is passionate about helping others. She believes being part of the Wired Impact team allows her to share her knowledge and passion with others looking to help support their communities. Working with nonprofits excites her daily because she genuinely believes in the positive influence of their work.

She has a special place in her heart for nonprofits working for child development. She comes from a multi-generational family of educators and has also worked with children herself. This opened her eyes to the different problems children can face at that stage and led her to appreciate the work of nonprofits that strive to combat these problems.

Her Path to Nonprofit Web Work

María discovered her passion for helping others at her first job, where she worked to return funds for developing public hospitals in her country. She realized that the correct management in specific sectors could greatly benefit others. That inspired her to train herself in different areas to use those tools to help. Since then, her career goal has been to help make a difference in people’s lives.

Outside of Work

When María isn’t working, you can find her cheering on her national soccer team, at a museum, or trying new hobbies. She loves to travel, so you can also find her looking for new destinations to explore. She hopes to meet her goal of visiting at least one country on each continent soon.
