Want to showcase members of your staff, board or other people who support your cause? You can create a consistent look and feel by using the Person block to offer a photo along with optional contact information and a short description. How Do I Add a Person Block?
To add a call to action to your content, log into your website. From the Dashboard, look in the left-hand admin menu. Click Pages, and select which page you’d like to edit.
Click the “+” icon to add a block, and select the Person block. You may need to search for it by name.
Once you’ve placed the Person block, you’ll see that a blank version appears and it shows you exactly what text to put where. You can preview the block at any time by clicking the gray Preview button on the upper right corner of your screen. When you’re done, save your changes by clicking the blue Update button in the upper right.
You can include these optional details for each person:
- Email Address
- Phone Number
The description text, which is ideal for offering a brief bio, can be formatted as bold or italic.
Add or remove an image
An image is not required, but it’s a nice addition to help feature the person. Use a square image that’s at least 182 pixels wide. You can choose an existing image from your Media Library or upload a new file to use for the person.
To remove an image, click the Remove Image button below the photo. You can leave the photo blank or add another image of your choosing.
Link the Person block
While you can’t link individual text within the description of the Person block, you can link the entire block to go to another page. We recommend using this when you have a separate page with more detailed information about the person.
To link the block, click the link icon in the toolbar and search for the page you’d like to link to.
A “Read More” link will then appear at the bottom of the block on the front end of the page.
Remove the block
To remove the entire call to action, click the 3 vertical dots in the toolbar above the block and select “Remove Block.”
Add multiple Person blocks
You can create as many versions of the Person block as you like. Repeat the process outlined above to add multiple Person blocks on a single page. Using the block in this way could be a great option for creating staff pages or introducing multiple speakers at a fundraiser.
