Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing Questions

What other fees do we pay to build out the site?
None. We offer add-ons if you’re interested, but we don’t have any upfront build-out fees. Some of the third-party tools you use (like email systems or payment processors) may have fees, but you won’t pay us anything else.

Seriously? There’s no upfront fee with Wired Impact?
Seriously. Our goal is to get powerful sites in the hands of as many nonprofits as we can. Big upfront fees get in the way of that.

What if I want to pay annually? Or use a lump sum of grant money?
We’re pretty flexible. Reach out to us and we can discuss your options. Most of the time we can figure something out.

Website Questions

So the website is built on WordPress?
It is, but imagine if WordPress was built solely for nonprofits. That’s what we’re going for. You get the power and ease-of-use of WordPress to fuel your nonprofit’s mission.

Who owns the website?
This is actually a fairly involved question, but basically we all own pieces of the site. Since WordPress is an open-source piece of software, we can’t legally grant ownership to anyone. You maintain ownership of your logos, content, domain name and other things you bring to the project. We own the website design themes we use as a starting point for each new project. For more, you can read our Terms of Service.

What happens if I want to leave Wired Impact?
We’ll be sad, but we’ll help you have a smooth transition. You’re free to take your content and form entries (such as donations and event registrations) with you when you leave. For more, you can check out our Terms of Service.
