Getting from Signup to Launch
Every website project includes a dedicated project manager to guide you through the entire process.
If you haven’t already, you’ll start by signing up for a free trial.
You’ll upgrade to a paid plan directly through the dashboard of your trial site.
Just enter your payment info and select your plan!
Shortly after upgrading to a paid plan, we’ll email you a link to your website questionnaire.
This form is the most streamlined way for you to submit the details we need for your project and helps us pair you with your project manager.
Filling it out keeps us from volleying emails and will help get the ball rolling as quickly as possible.
Our client success team will be notified once you’ve submitted your questionnaire and you’ll hear from your project manager about next steps within a few business days.
They’ll be your go-to person to guide you all the way through launching your site for the world to see!
You’ll discuss your organization, audience and goals on a video call with your project manager.
They’ll also help you solidify your website structure and technical details.
Using the theme and site structure you confirmed with your project manager, we’ll further customize your colors, page names and navigation.
This is when your new site starts to really come to life!
Using the Easy Web Page Editor, you can customize premade layouts or build from the ground up to create pages that beautifully tell your story.
You can also use the AI Page Writer to help you write and edit quality content tailored to your nonprofit in minutes.
Get help with questions and roadblocks during a video call with your project manager.
Use the time in whatever way is most helpful for you — how to approach a particular page, preparing for content formatting or anything else that’s come up so far.
Choose 5 key pages and our design team will make formatting improvements for a more polished, professional site.
If you’d like more pages formatted, we can help you build an add-on project tailored to fit your needs and budget.
We’ll handle the technical side of making sure your site’s ready for launch so you don’t have to.
This includes things like connecting your site to your third-party tools, preparing any redirects from your existing site and setting you up with Google Analytics.
We’ll get everything ready to roll for launch day. When the time’s right, we’ll make sure your site gets published for the world to see!
Wondering If This Approach Could Work for You?
Book a call to discuss your work and website needs. We’ll discuss what’s worked for other nonprofits and recommend next steps tailored to your situation and timeline.
Questions You May Be Asking…
We typically tell folks to ballpark somewhere around two months to build a new site. Some go faster and some take longer, but the two biggest variables are:
- The complexity/size of your site
- How much capacity you’ll have to dedicate to the project
As long as you’ll be able to dedicate some bandwidth to the project and keep the first version of the website as streamlined as possible, launching within two months should be realistic.
We’ve taken what’s worked well for other nonprofit organizations over the years and paired it with the ease and power of WordPress tailored totally to nonprofits.
Sites come pre-loaded with features, best practices and layouts that have worked for other nonprofits with the flexibility to tell your unique story and make it your own.
In a word, yes. We’ve created a streamlined way for people at all skill levels to build a new nonprofit website they’re proud to share with the world.
You don’t need to know how to write code to build and manage your site. You can even customize premade layouts to save time while creating pages that engage your visitors.
We also have an entire library of support articles you can reference for step-by-step instructions as you’re working on your site.
And if you need more help, you can shift more work to our team’s plate with any of our add-on services.
It may be possible. But it’s almost never worth it in the end.
Even if you’re able to export your content and import it into your new site, it can take a lot of work and will still require manual cleanup.
While having existing content is a strong starting point and will save you time, it’s almost always easier and faster to manually copy over what you want to keep.
Our approach is pretty different, and we’re happy to explore if it will be a solid fit for your website project.
Most nonprofits go one of two routes. Most either start a free website trial or set up a consult call.
Booking a call with a nonprofit website specialist is a great way to determine if our approach aligns with your needs, see what’s worked for similar nonprofits and get your questions answered.
You can also read more on our Compare Our Approach page to get a sense of the most common options nonprofits typically consider when building a new site.
Your project manager will help you connect your new website with your existing tools (as long as it’s an integration we support and integrations are included in your plan).
They’ll also help you figure out the best way for your various tools to work together to save you time and provide your visitor’s the best experience possible.
Nope! We take security and performance very seriously.
That’s why every site includes regular security and performance updates, plus proactive security, monitoring, an SSL certificate and website backups.
We’re also always working on new features and feature improvements that we make available as we create them.
Our goal is to help your site last longer and stay safe and fast over the years while growing with your nonprofit!
Our goal is to provide the best support you’ve ever experienced.
Once you launch, you can send changes you’d like our team to make as 30-minute task requests. We’ll handle those edits for you so you have more time for other things.
You can even use us as bonus members of your marketing team. Use our Marketing Advice program to ask us questions, find tool recommendations and get feedback on your work.
