Role at Wired Impact

Lindsey is an Account Executive at Wired Impact. Her day to day consists of facilitating client consult calls, sharing resources and working with the rest of the Wired Impact team to continually improve offerings and processes to help organizations. She is grateful that she gets to use her empathy and communication skills to put herself in others’ shoes and collaborate to find the right solutions to their website challenges.

Why She Loves This Work

Lindsey loves seeing the variety of organizations doing meaningful work and creating positive change in the world. She finds it uplifting that helping nonprofits improve their websites also means they’re expanding the reach of their missions.

She also understands that change can be intimidating, and web technology can feel daunting. She’s always excited to share with nonprofits how working with the Wired Impact team, and using the multitude of resources designed specifically for them, can make a website transition feel smooth.

Her Path to Nonprofit Web Work

Lindsey experienced the joy of volunteerism early in life when she joined her church youth group on service trips. She instantly loved the sense of fellowship that came from working together to support a common cause and hearing stories from people from all walks of life.

She later attended St. Norbert College where the Norbertine ideal of communio was integral to campus life. Put simply, communio indicates a community of people united as one where the support of others enriches each day. Inspired to continue her volunteerism, she joined the campus TRIPS program that organized student-led service trips. This program took her from Arkansas to St. Lucia, and she helped with a variety of projects focused on poverty and those experiencing homelessness.

As an international business major, her cohort also managed a campus store dedicated to importing fair-trade products primarily from developing nations with proceeds being reinvested in these nations through charitable donations. She’s thrilled that after many years of post-grad experience in account management and sales, she can now pair her professional experience with supporting nonprofit missions once again.

Outside of Work

During her free time, you can find Lindsey making soy candles, lifting weights or performing with her local community theater group. She loves learning new things and having new experiences, especially ones that can be shared with friends and family.
