The website for Friends of Recovery – New York is now live!
Friends of Recovery – New York (FOR-NY) raises awareness about the fact that recovery is both achievable and sustainable. FOR-NY supports communities in New York state at the local level, providing the groundwork for Recovery from alcohol and substance abuse, not only to individuals who’ve experienced addiction and their families, but to the entire community.
The new, responsive website welcomes visitors with open arms, starting with a homepage that offers immediate support and showcases the many faces and roads to recovery.
As part of their message of hope, we designed a story system that celebrates the diverse voices of recovery by showing stories in a list view as well as in individual subpages. By showing that recovery is possible to someone struggling with addiction, the Stories of Recovery page also demonstrates another core belief: there are many paths to recovery and everyone gets there in his or her own way.
Friends of Recovery – New York offers trainings across the state for treatment providers, prevention specialists and others interested in addiction and recovery. To help them promote these events and make registration easier for both the user and FOR-NY staff, we put together an event system that displays upcoming trainings in a list and on individual event pages with on-site registration. Training sessions can also be submitted to staff for publication on the website.
By making a gift to Friends of Recovery – New York, supporters affirm that recovery is possible, attainable and sustainable. We created a donate page that helps motivate giving by featuring different ways to support the mission of FOR-NY as well as compelling testimonials. Donations are made through a form on the site, offering a simple and straightforward process that includes options like recurring gifts, covering the cost of donation processing fees, and making a donation in honor or memory of someone.
Visit the Friends of Recovery – New York website to learn more about their resources for recovery, training and advocacy and to see the power of community in the fight against drug and alcohol addiction.
