If you use Stripe to process payments on your website, you can offer your visitors multiple options for making those payments — including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH direct debit. This gives supporters the flexibility to use the method that works best for them.
This article will walk you through the process of enabling different payment options in your Stripe account.
How to Enable Additional Payment Methods
To activate additional payment methods in your Stripe account, follow the steps below.
- Log in to your Stripe account.
- Visit https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_methods to access the Payment methods settings page.
- Find the “Gravity Forms by rocketgenius” payment configurations. There should be two listed, and you will repeat these steps for each.
- Default: Used to control the methods shown for one-time payments.
- Billing Payments: Used to control the methods shown when starting a recurring subscription.
- Click to manage the payment configuration.
- On this screen, you will find the list of possible payment methods. Each will be marked with a status.
- Enable the payment methods you wish to offer.
- Popular choices include Apple Pay, Google Pay and ACH Direct Debit.
- Remember to disable any payment methods you do not wish to offer.
- For example, Link is often enabled by default, but we recommend turning it off.
Configure Your Domain Name
You’ll need to configure your domain name if you’re using or plan to use one of these payment methods.
To configure your domain, follow the steps below.
- Visit https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_method_domains. Click on the “+ Add a new domain” button.
- Enter your domain without the “https://” at the beginning. Only include “www.” if it’s part of your domain when you view your live website.
- Click the “Save” button.
- If successful, your domain will show as “Enabled” and look like this:
