When you want to make changes to your website or access information like form submissions, you’ll need to log in to the administrative side of your website, commonly referred to as the back end. The front end of the website is what your visitors see.

To log in to your site, follow these steps.

  • Visit your admin link (www.yourdomain.org/wp-admin).
  • Enter your username and password to access the area where you can add content, upload photos, manage forms and more.

After logging in, you’ll see the dashboard.

The dashboard is the main hub for managing your website. You’ll see shortcuts to jump back into recent edits, access common settings and search support articles, making it easy to get where you need to go in just a few clicks.

The Request Help form can also be found in your dashboard. Use this form to let us know if you need help making an update on your website or are looking for marketing advice.

Navigating the Back End

The toolbar at the top of every page and the admin menu on the left will help you move around the back end of your site.

In the top toolbar, you’ll find a house icon with the name of your organization. If you click it, you’ll be taken to your homepage on the front end of your site. To get back to your dashboard once you’re there, simply click that same link.

On the left side of the screen, you’ll find the admin menu, a dark gray bar with links to key areas of your site. In the image below, we’ve labeled several of the most important sections:

  • The “Posts” section is where you can add and edit blog posts
  • The “Media” section is where you can upload and edit all of the images on your site
  • The “Pages” section is where you’ll see a complete list of all the Pages throughout your site. You can edit and add or remove pages within this section.
  • The “Users” section is where you can add, remove and edit users who should have access to make edits to your site.
