Role at Wired Impact
Allyson is the Director of Client Success at Wired Impact. You can find her chatting with clients, meeting deadlines and keeping her finger on the pulse of projects. She loves being introduced to new causes and seeing how nonprofits use our website platform to power their mission.
Why She Loves This Work
Allyson has a special place in her heart for nonprofits and the great work they do, but she noticed many of them don’t have websites that accurately portray their devotion and impact in their communities.
Helping the people who help people brightens her day. She gets to use her marketing and communication skills to connect folks in need to real resources, something she wasn’t sure was possible until she found Wired Impact.
Her Path to Nonprofit Web Work
Allyson journeyed from the mountains of Virginia to attend college at the best university in the Bluegrass state. At the University of Kentucky, she studied all things marketing, advertising and Wildcat basketball.
Allyson began working with nonprofits during her time as an undergraduate and found that she wanted to marry her marketing know-how and her desire to help great causes. Before relocating to St. Louis to work at Wired Impact, she combined the two by serving as the communications coordinator for a local nonprofit event dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault.
Outside of Work
During college and afterward, Allyson has advocated against sexual assault, domestic violence, and the culture behind the two. She is also an active volunteer with the Alliance for Period Supplies, which combats period poverty.
You’ll find Allyson cheering on her Wildcats and talking about horse racing, as Kentuckians do. She also enjoys a good hammocking session, musical theater playlists, oat milk lattes and cake donuts.
